Four out of five Central Asian countries have reopened for travelers. Only Turkmenistan, already an outcast, has not yet opened its borders. There are tentative signs that this will change in the course of 2022.
For the other four countries, citizens of many countries don’t need a visa nor a negative PCR test to enter at the time of writing (June 21, 2022). There is serious travelling again in the region, with the note that the terrible war that Russia is waging against Ukraine does cause visitors.
We look forward to seeing you in Central Asia!
